More Than All The Sky
MORE THAN ALL THE SKY, a new original musical by Lori Ada Jaroslow and Morgan Hollingsworth, is seeking final funding for an Equity Developmental Presentation at Open Jar Studios in the heart of New York’s theater district on Oct. 13th and 14th, 2026.
MORE THAN ALL THE SKY'S Equity Presentation features 9 performers and two musicians in a staged reading setting and will be directed by Sean Daniels.
"Every so often a soaring work of art evokes such a visceral response that it demands to be seen by as many people as possible. We believe MORE THAN ALL THE SKY is such a work. That is precisely the goal of this presentation: to attract interest from creatives and supporters to take the project to the next step - a full scale production in NYC or a regional theatre in the U.S." - Producers, Jennifer Dumas Wiggin and Tom Wiggin

"I just watched More Than All the Sky...Lots of tears, heart swelling, and healing...This piece is such a gift!"

Linda Mathious, Television Writer & Producer
MORE THAN ALL THE SKY is a family drama set against the backdrop of substance use disorder and recovery. Lenna Harris, 25, has been living on the street for 5 years, trapped in the stranglehold of addiction. She returns to her hometown nearing rock bottom--only to find her mother is in the throes of dementia and her adopted brother has assumed responsibility for their mom. When Lenna finally acquiesces to getting help, she begins to uncover and dismantle her childhood trauma, giving way to the hope that she can get well. Through a cinematic indie-rock score and a no-holds-barred script, MORE THAN ALL THE SKY reveals how a family can be ravaged by addiction and rebuilt through recovery and forgiveness. And, while recovery can be a strenuous process, it is possible to live a sober life beyond one's wildest dreams.
The total budget for the Presentation is $68K; $38K has already been raised.

The producers seek tax deductible donations through their fiscal partner Big Vision Community in New York.

with blurbs that set the scene.

“Fragments" - Lenna, Ensemble
Lenna, after five years, has returned to her hometown and is setting up “residency” in the local park. Though she’s hitting bottom, she tries to make light of her situation as she nests and decorates her little patch of the park. Warm memories of her childhood give her a glimmer of hope that she could one day have a meaningful life and reunite with her family.
"My Daughter” - Lenna, Mae, Ensemble
After a major breakthrough in her recovery, Lenna is finally face to face with her mother, desperate to make amends for her past. Sadly, Mae’s dementia has advanced so that she does not recognize her own daughter. Despite this, they are able to find comfort in their connection. Though not nearly the amends Lenna had hoped for, she is still able to cherish this moment as she continues her journey toward sobriety.
